Can't Get Enough Celebrations
I admit it. I'm greedy for Celebrations. We've had a few things to celebrate over here, and I don't want the celebrations to end just yet! We have some unfinished business in the world of sports.
First up - celebrating the dedication of our baseball field to longtime coach/teacher Mr. K and his assistant coach/teacher Mr. D. Thirty-plus years of coaching and teaching, impacting kids who are now adults with more kids in your program...what a blessing!
Next up...Conference Championship game. Last year this team beat us, so we had to share the title with them. This year, we weren't in a sharing mood.More wonderful action photography by yours truly. (The kick was good, by the way!)
By the time I got done selling football clothing in the endzone and got over to mid-field, the team was already done celebrating their 5th Straight Six Rivers Conference Championship. Oh well, I guess we're still celebrating it...till next season, right? We have much to be proud of and grateful for!
But we're not done. (I told you I'm greedy.) We want another celebration. We want one each and every week of the playoffs, because we don't want this season to end. We play Highland again tonight in Level Two, and it's going to be a big one.
Here's hoping the celebration continues for 4 more games!!
GO CHIEFTAINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PS - Go Lady Chieftains!! Volleyball Sectional Finals tomorrow night.......one match away from state!! Way to go, girls!!
