KY Part 8: Red River Gorge (Daniel Boone National Forest)

Driving through a long tunnel...
into the Daniel Boone National Forest in eastern Kentucky!
This cabin well over 200 years old.
Mark appreciated the dump rake, much like the one he bought off Craigslist for our front yard!
We had to drive a long LOOOONG time to get up to the hiking trails, but it was worth it.  Notice how the trails here are  nicely paved!
I forget what this look-out was called, but it was amazing.

There weren't as many railings here as you would think. You can't tell, but it was a LOOONG ways down!

We saw this copperhead snake!  Yikes! don't get too close!
 God makes such beautiful places!

We some really cool rock formations.  They reminded me of old 70s shows like "Land of the Lost" or maybe it was "Planet of the Apes".  At any rate, there were lots of nooks/crannies/rounded edges like a stage/movie set.

God thunders wondrously with his voice; he does great things that we cannot comprehend.--Job 37:5
