In the Bag

Easter season means time for Kids Against Hunger. Len Demert organizes a wonderful food bagging effort at the River Community Church in Cassville, and we had a blast working it last year. So the kids could hardly wait to return this year! What I love about this event, besides the fact that it helps people in our country and around the world, is that there is something for EVERYONE to do. All ages. Wynne was only two last year, and yet she could scoop food ingredients into the bags with the rest of us.
Cy was happy to work the bag sealers again this year.

The way people pull together for a common cause, it makes you forget about all the negative headlines you read. For pennies a bag, we can feed a family of six. (And we got to sample the finished chicken product...it's pretty good!)

Four hours, over 61,000 meals. Not bad for an evening's work!

Share with God's people who are in need. Practice hospitality.--Romans 12:13
