Hockey Jocks
Cy is on a hockey kick for some reason. It probably has a little to do with going to a Saints game with his buddy Will a few months ago. Not enough ice around here, and frigid temps these past few days, so he made a rink out of our living room!
These pictures were taken on the first night of the "season". The hockey sticks have since been re-engineered and a paper/cardboard/tape puck has replaced the wiffle ball. That reminds me: we need more duct tape!
Besides an old mop handle, can you figure out what the sticks are made out of?? Clever, I tell you. (Why did we just spend X $$$ on Christmas presents when they are perfectly happy with stuff they can make??)
Game One: Team Blue Headgear (Cy rooted through the hat/mitten bag to find some "uniforms" for Shae and himself) took on...
Team Spongebob!
Face-off at center ice! or should I say center carpet. (Night two moved onto the laminate floor in the kitchen/dining room.) Every pillow in the house is used to block off any possible puck escapes. And drive Mom crazy.
See, this is what I love about being a boring Slacker parent. You bore the kids long enough and they will be forced to get resourceful in finding ways to entertain themselves.
Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything as of ourselves; but our sufficiency [is] of God.--2 Corinthians 3:5
