Eyes on the Prize
We interrupt this summer to bring you the ball season.
Cy has 20 baseball games, Ally has 19 softball games, and the twins have 8 t-ball games. (Bleacher butt, here I come!!)
A few weeks ago, Ally's team opened up their season in Kieler.
Guess who threw the first 3 innings?
Our little T-bird!!
One of Ally's coaches is the high school starting pitcher. Ally loves it when Reba practices her pitching with her. Not only is Reba a standout pitcher and all-around good athlete, she was also Co-Valedictorian and a super nice kid. We are grateful to have a great role model for our daughter to look up to!
Reba took her team to the highest level you can get--the state tournament. Ally, Cy, and their dad watched them win Sectionals and go on to the state semi-finals at Goodman Field in Madison. Quite an honor! Congrats to the Potosi Chieftain Softball Team!!
Ally has dreams of being good enough to play at that level some day.
If you knew how hard she practiced at home all year-round, you wouldn't be surprised. Our shed has the dings to prove it!
Go, Ally, go!!
Grandpa Donny got the kids this bounce-back contraption (sadly I don't recall the name of it right now), and Mark built a backstop in the yard last week. We don't take sports very seriously at our house. Nah.
Daddy teasing Short Legs, threatening to put her in the hole he just dug!
Back to Ally, she is a very focused young lady. She wants to get the best grades in her class, and she wants to succeed at every single sport she plays. (I love how she's "holding her mouth right" here.) We're proud of all of our kids and really enjoy watching them tackle the sporting world.
And check out last week's acquisition...
The better to see you with, my dear!
I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.--Philippians 3:14
