As Good As Gold

We had the privilege to celebrate our school's 50th year in operation (high school building) and the 50th season of football. We had a big homecoming victory, beautiful weather, and a great crowd of alumni on hand to attend the weekend's events. Another coach's wife and I had our kids do a pep rally skit of dance/air guitar to songs of the past 50 years. Aside from the excruciating wait to get them up on stage (remember we're talking children ages 2-9 waiting about 40 minutes), it was a blast. The kids rose to the occasion and delighted the audience. Thanks to our varsity football players for joining us in "Jump Around"!!

Every week we put up a sign for the football team, but since it was Homecoming (with a theme of 'Maroon and Golden') the kids and I did a little extra this week. Thought I'd better snap a picture before tear-down!

Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. --Philippians 3:14
